I remember when my Aunty had gifted me a handmade, patchwork cloth bag. It was simple, it was beautiful. The craftwork reminded me a lot of Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colours. I felt privileged and grateful to have had this given to me and couldn't help but think about the security and pride that comes with ownership of a cherished item. Not a feeling every woman and girl is familiar with. I want to change that. I could only hope that one day this initiative could grow far beyond my imagination and dreams. One BAG, for every girl and every woman at a time.
