Hey There
Hey there, I'm Desiree. I've lived in Manitoba, Canada my whole life and I'm a whole hearted Canadian explorer. I love a great slice of pizza, photography and adventuring. I'm passionate about authentic storytelling. When I'm not at my 9-5, I'm out adventuring with my husband and our dog Hazel. You could say that sometimes I wear heels, and sometimes I wear hiking boots. If I can inspire one person to try something or go somewhere new, help someone in need or make a new friend, I've done my job. The Explorer
Ever since I was a young girl, I've been in the outdoors. I was exploring and spending time in nature before I could speak, walk and talk. I've always been curious about what awaits down the path and around the bend.
The Photographer
In 2012 I picked up my first camera and I haven't put it down since. Over ten years as a self-taught photographer.. it still sounds weird to say it aloud. I've enjoyed discovering and experimenting with every different kind of photography. Fashion and lifestyle, product, wildlife, nature, culinary, real estate, commercial and travel.
The Designer
Not many people know that my academic background stems from the creative sector. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design, majoring in Interior Design, from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba.
The Marketer
I came into the world of marketing later in life and it hasn't left my side since. Beginning in retail, transitioning into education and non-profit, I ended up landing in tourism and I'm loving it.
